At As Sabiqun Montessori, we keep our admissions process simple, supportive, and transparent. We want families to feel informed at every step and confident that this is the right environment for their child.
Admission Process
- In Person Inquiry and Tour We invite you to visit the school, observe our classrooms, and speak with a member of our team about our school and philosophy.
- Submit an Application Complete our online form or a hard-copy version with your child’s basic details and preferred program.
- Family Interview Have a genuine conversation with our administrative team and child’s potential teachers to see if As Sabiqun feels right for your family.
- Enrollment and Onboarding Submit required documents, pay the enrollment fee, get added to respective parent groups, and receive your welcome pack.

School Hours:
Half-Day (7:15am-12:45pm; Limited Slots Available)
Regular Day (7:15am-3:30pm)
Extended Day (7:15am-5pm)
After-school (Outside students ages 5-12 years) (2pm-5pm)
Applications for the 2026 to 2027 school year will be available by February 28th, 2026.

Do you follow a full Montessori curriculum?
Yes. Our classrooms, materials, and teaching approach follow authentic Montessori principles while integrating Islamic values through hiring teachers trained in the Montessori method.
Are your teachers Montessori trained?
Yes. Our guides are trained in Montessori education and grounded in strong Islamic values.
Do children need prior Montessori experience?
No. We welcome children from all backgrounds and learning styles.
Is there a school uniform?
Our infant/toddler and early childhood classroom communities do not have a uniform; however, school backpacks are required.
How much is the tuition?
How do you integrate Islamic values?
Through daily routines, practical life activities, character lessons, Quran memorization, and community service.
Do you offer trial days?
Every child completes a phase-in period that allows him/her to get acquainted with the space in the presence of a familiar caregiver.
How do you handle children who are shy or have difficulty adjusting?
Our guides support each child gently, using Montessori principles to help them build confidence at his/her own pace.
What languages do you teach?
Children learn in English, Arabic, and Hausa through natural exposure, conversation, and age-appropriate activities.
Do you provide meals?
Yes, we offer morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack. Children rotate helping with the preparation of their meals.
Do you teach Quran or Islamic studies?
Yes — faith is integrated naturally through daily routines, Quran memorization (age-appropriate), dua, manners, and character lessons.
Do you offer after school care?
We have an extended day program for our infant/toddler and early education classroom communities between 3:30pm-5pm. We offer after-school care for outside students ages 5-12 years between 2pm-5pm.
What is your approach to discipline?
We focus on respect, natural consequences, and helping children build self-regulation rather than punishment.
How many children are in a class?
Classrooms can accommodate 20 children at a time, with a 1:5 teacher to student ratio. Class sizes are kept intentionally small to ensure individualized attention and proper Montessori flow.
Do you offer transportation?
We have a school bus available for families in need of this service. The bus is equipped with staff to care for the children during the ride.
What safety measures do you have in place?
We maintain a secure campus, childproofed classrooms, supervised outdoor play, and emergency protocols. We also have security and CCTV cameras.
Can parents visit during school hours?
Parents are invited to come into the school and classroom for scheduled events. They are also welcome to call during the day to receive updates.
How do you handle children with different learning needs?
We observe each child individually and adapt activities to match their pace. For specialized needs, we collaborate with parents and professionals.
What happens if my child cries or struggles during drop-off?
Our team uses gentle separation techniques and consistent routines to help children settle comfortably over time.
Is Montessori unstructured?
Not at all. Montessori is structured through order, routine, and clear limits — children work independently within guided boundaries.
Can siblings be enrolled together?
Yes. Siblings are welcome, and multi-age classrooms often allow them to learn in shared spaces.
